Review of Flatliners (1990) by Kami B — 22 Jul 2009
I think I'm giving this one 2 because of childhood memories because watching it now makes me realize that it's not a good movie. Basically, it makes me think of the supernatural/religious propaganda films I see coming out of Hollywood lately, just with 1980s style music and group walking scenes.
This is Joel Schumacher trying to score some more Lost Boys shots. In the end it turns out to be one of those movies that questions what happens after death and decides to answer with some religious bullshit.
They have to have Kevin Bacon as the atheist, who suddenly believes after going under. By the why, didn't it seem like all the other people in the group's guilty memories were nothing compared to Kiefer Sutherland's?
