Review of Flashdance (1983) by Adam S — 02 Feb 2008

Of all the 80s dance movies (Fame, Dirty Dancing, Footloose etc) this is by far the best. It actually has a great script and Jennifer Beals is incredibly hot. Sexiest Sweatshirt ever, damn the scene involving the sweatshirt is amazing.

While not as good as Saturday Night Fever, the film has the same raw, even truthful perhaps, aesthetic that makes that film work as well as it does. I was very suprised by Flashdance.
