30 years later, you wonder what the fuss was all about. There's maybe 30 minutes of dialog and a paper thin plot and the rest is MTV New Wave dance scenes. The soundtrack famously knocked Thriller of the #1 album slot and the fashions created a short-lived industry, but the film itself has nothing that has stood the test of time.
