Review of Flashdance (1983) by Habibiehakim — 08 Mar 2022

Basically I like nearly everything in Flashdance besides one thing that unfortunately the main center of the movie, and that was Alex and Nick relationship, I did not buy them at all, on first Alex was kinda refused Nick in some way, and suddenly only in the first time they in the same room and they do the thing with Alex's will and it just weird for me, if a movie try to make a relationship between two character, just be passion, slowly but works, until the end I have no feeling at all for both of them, I still get Alex because she still got lot of scene without him, but every scene with Nick is with her and it did not work for me at all, besides the main big problem of the movie, in the more positive I was really impress on the dance sequence, the music and how they shot the scene is very stylish, the lighting is all great, the performance was good for the rest of the cast, Jennifer Beals was actually good too if of course not with Nick, so overall Flashdance is not a movie that i'm gonna rewatch but it's an ok movie that I still mostly enjoy.
