Review of Flash Point (2007) by Jim C — 11 Feb 2011
Guns, Kungfu, Donnie Yen and Wilson Yip, all this adds up to an awesome movie. From start to finish this film is one of Donnie Yen's best work. The story is a cop(Donnie Yen) is trying to take down a ruthless gang.
The gang then tries to kill his undercover partner and Donnie takes the fight to the gang. The action is some of the most realistic and intence fight scenes in recent action cinema. From gun fighting to hand to hand combat, the action will keep you at the edge of your seat.
Now from a family point of view this is not a film for kids. First off the action does contain some blood including a brutal scene where an assassin tries to kill a man with a knife. Now and again a gunshot will spray some blood.
The fist fighting is also quite brutal and intenece. There is a good bit of swearing ranging from D--- to mother------. And sexual stuff is not to bad. One scene in a dance bar shows some young ladys dancing but not always fully dressed.
Then another scene Louis Koo is shown in bed with a woman but not in fact in the act of sex. All in all this movie was fraking awesome. If you would like to see a film with tons of action, good acting, and a decent story pick this movie up.
