Review of Flash of Genius (2008) by Louise C — 04 Oct 2008
My dad was a young law school graduate working for Toyota in the case Kearns brought against the company. He said that Kearns's eldest son pulled on a gun on one of the lawyers and also seduced a paralegal at his firm to get information illegally.
The judge ended up throwing out the case. Needless to say, my dad's perspective biased me against Kearns. Having seen the movie, I think he was in the right to bring the case and stand by his principles.
Doesn't change the fact that he was unstable, a bit of a jerk, and pretty much abandoned his family for 12 years. Greg Kinnear was superb, as always.
