Review of Flash of Genius (2008) by Jacqueline C — 05 Oct 2008
This was a pretty good film but I was expecting much more from it. Greg Kinnear was excellent but the movie seemed to die off for a period in the middle. There's a gap with Alan Alda that was pretty much unnecessary and only seemed to drag things on.
I would have liked it more if they had focused more on what they did later in the film, that is the good relationship he still had with his kids. Lauren Graham did a good job in this but everyone was completely overshadowed by Greg Kinnear and this film was all about him.
Too little of the movie really focused on much else. Overall, it's a story that should be shared and was done well. Not well enough to go see in the theater, maybe just rent it.
