Review of Flash of Genius (2008) by Jeremy W — 07 Oct 2008
Although I really liked the movie, it did seem to drag on and the tension of dramatic scenes wore thin. The film still is a really nice, touching tale about one man fighting for what is right. His taking on of a huge corporation in the face of everyone saying he would never win based solely on principal says something about the kind of man Mr.
Kearns must have been. You can already figure the outcome of everything in these kind of movies but you are still wanting to hear it in the end. I think this film could have benefitted from a bit more editing to keep the tension going but I also feel they wanted those moments of researching and dragging out to make you feel as he really did and the years the real case played out.
Go to this if you enjoy a simple, great true story. If you are more for gun fights and car chases, you will want to pass on this one.
