The movie has two standards. The first is the supreme directing by Eastwood who gives us a beautiful atmosphere and the second is the bad editing in which we go back and forth from the war to the States were the marines are celebrities.
The movie finally fails to deliver. You end up missing things and that certainly gets a bit boring.
