Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Paul D — 08 Dec 2008
After Easy Rider, this is a Jack Nicholson masterpiece. A character study of a unhappy man with tons of talent who just can't seem to fit in. Karen Black is also excellent in her debut. Unusual for an American movie, the dialog is more important than the action.
And, of course, the restaurant seen is a classic.
