Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Steve S — 28 Aug 2009
***1/2 (out of four).
A great and defining moment for Jack Nicholson is his rise to film stardom. His perforamnce is one to be remembered and so is the film.
Nicholson plays Bobby Dupea, a man stuck working on an oil rig that he hates. He would like to be a musician, but time is passing him by as he realizes that his life is a series of missed opportunities.
The relatable story is thoughtful and wonderfully scripted and directed.
