Review of Five Corners (1987) by Brett W — 10 Aug 2007
Writer John Patrick Stanley's "Moonstruck" received all the glory in 1987, but his other film, FIVE CORNERS, deserves as much praise. Poignant, funny, witty and heartfelt, FIVE CORNERS pairs Robbins' idealistic Freedom Rider of 1964 vs.
Turturro's violent psycho who longs for Foster. The DVD is hard to find and early editions are downright awful. Seek an old CHS copy, but will someone please -- please -- do this film justice and release it properly in digital form?
