Review of Five Children and It (2004) by Jason Y — 12 Apr 2005
Theater First Viewing, 2 Stephenson films seen.
I predict Freddie Highmore might become the new Jonathan Lipnicki. Freddie is a much better actor than Jonathan, but Freddie will never be raved about the way that Jonathan was in Jerry Maguire - no matter how good Freddie was in Finding Neverland. I relate the two, because after Jonathan made Jerry Maguire, he made a series of blah blah family films. I love the Stuart Little films, but The Little Vampire? Angels in the Outfield? Oops. I meant to type Like Mike. Freddie was great in Finding Neverland, but Five Children and It only proves that the industry is pushing him as the new child star/product of the now.
