Review of Fitzcarraldo (1982) by Peter L — 25 Jul 2007
The clash between civilised and uncivilised men is similar to but much more impressive than the scenes in "The Man who would be King" or "Apocalypse Now".
The beautiful part I appreciated much is the obsession and stubborness of that leading charactor (as well as the director himself!) for his dream (which is a recurring theme, e.g., recently, Zodiac).
The suspense built up in the river is very good as well. similar to "Apocalypse Now"?
