Review of Fitzcarraldo (1982) by Rachel H — 16 Jan 2008
Klaus Kinski and Werner Herzog are the team to beat! In both "Fitzcarraldo" and "Aguirre," they succeed in making brilliant movies that defy logic and reality. It still amazes me to this day the lengths which Herzog goes to for realism in his films.
If you liked this films, you should check out "Burden of Dreams," a documentary made by herzog about the making of Fitzcarraldo. It also goes into detail about transporting the boat. It's pretty unbelievable stuff!! :).
