Review of Fitzcarraldo (1982) by Tom G — 08 May 2010
Warner Herzog's masterpiece. Nothing faked in this movie. It was shot in the real Amazon forest, using real native tribes, no special effects (a river boat was really pulled over a mountain!), and lead actor Klaus Kinski is truly a madman.
The documentary about the making of the film is just as captivating.
