Review of Fish Tank (2009) by Gerald C — 08 Jul 2010
This is another strong performance from the fabulous Michael Fassbender.
This is a powerful film about a teenage girl living on an inner-city council estate. Her mother brings home her new boyfriend (The Fass) and let's just say that things get a little bit inappropriate. The teenager then makes some shocking discoveries about his life.
As well as a great performance from Fassy, the actress who plays the protagonist is excellent and very believable as the troubled teen. However, my favourite performance is actually from the little girl who plays the protagonist's younger sister. She has some amazing dialogue - think of a chav version of Hit Girl from Kickass!
I would definitely recommend this :).
