It's a testament to the acting and the film that it takes it's characters to places I (genuinely) didn't want them to go, so at times it's uncomfortable, depressing viewing, thus making it's somewhat quick fix conclusion feel like a little of bit of a betrayal to everything that preceded it.
That grumble aside, this is challenging drama.
