Review of First They Killed My Father (2017) by Sharon T — 14 Nov 2017
Truly dreadful depiction of an honestly horrific historical event. If I did not know the history of the story, I would never be able to deduce that one quarter of the entire country's population was killed during these years in Cambodias history. The story made me feel thatbthe populatuon of one small village lost their lives as opposed the 2.5 million people. So many ways to depict this increible part of history and I felt.
it just missed the mark completely.
