This film will stay with me for a long time. I thought it was terrificc AND yes, it's slow-moviing and intense and sad. The acting is wonderful. Even the smaller parts are fully realized characters.
Hawke may have achieved his personal best, although I doubt he'll win an Oscar as it's such a dark film. The ending is ambiguous and my husband offered out interpretations all the way home in the car.
If you like amazing acting and a movie that will get you thinking then this is the one.
