This one was a puzzle. On the one hand, you have a very intense and well-written film that does a good job of building suspense. It is has amazing performances across the board, and really leaves you wondering what the payoff is going to be.
Then, the ending finally comes. All this buildup is finally coming to fruition, and... It completely falls flat. On top of just ending abruptly, the payoff you have been hoping for is not there, and suddenly nothing makes sense.
Ethan Hawke was incredible, in my opinion.
