Review of First Man (2018) by Dillon T — 29 Nov 2018

I am seeing a lot of reviews saying "stick with Apollo13" this is ignorance in it's purest form. First Man is about the dark side of the space program and the hell that Armstrong was living in.

You cannot compare this film to Apollo 13. They are on completely different wavelengths. Ryan Gosling did an incredible job of capturing who Neil was, he was very quiet and almost reclusive caring for his friends, family and the space program that was who he was.

This film captures the horror of space travel and the grueling months leading up to the moon landing so well that I am baffled by some of the reviews. To each their own. Go see it for yourself and have an open mind not expecting it to be the light hearted in comparison "Apollo 13".
