Review of First Blood (1982) by Brad B — 12 Jan 2011
Made in 1982.Whe Vietnam War veteran John Rambo comes to a small town to visit a war compadre he is clearly not wanted in this sleepy little town by the local Police and is escorted out the town,he walks back into the town and gets arrested for it,he then escapes arrest and huge Man Hunt is down on him,he has to fend for himself in the local woods while giving The local police 'A War they wont believe',this movie deals with the hero removed from the war trying to reintegrate back into civilized society and not being accepted and I feel we can all relte to Rambo's character in a way, this film cemented Stallone as an Action Hero and By far this is my favorite action movie of the 80's John Rambo is an all around badass, The film's climax reveals the film as a tragedy and shows how good Stallone can act, an Action Movie Classic.
Many Action movies to follow owe a debt to this film.
