Review of First Blood (1982) by Noah T — 31 Aug 2012
The movie which started it all! One is introduced to the infamous character John Rambo, and unbalanced Vietnam Vet. The story starts with a small town sheriff (Brian Dennehy) who could have left Rambo alone.
My wife believes First Blood has the best story for the series, and that the sheriff caused the incident. The movie is a cautionary tail of judging people by appearance, and being careful with your actions.
The bully got more than he bargained for! I felt more sorry sorry for the small town than Rambo at the end, but one understands Rambo's actions when his story is told. Well directed and acted movie.
I give First blood 3 out of 5 stars.
