Review of First Blood (1982) by Stephen G — 25 Feb 2010
I've seen First Blood countless times but i've decided to write a short review after watching it again at the weekend.
Controversial when it was first released as it portrays how Vietnam war veterans were treated by their country upon returning home. A small town sheriff unravels Rambo's emotions and all hell breaks loose.
A great film culminating in the break down of "John J" which has got to be Stallone's longest speaking scene ever. You will feel sorry for him, no doubt.
Its a pity the other 2 films sandwiched between this and Rambo (4) were comparative let downs.
