Review of Firestarter (1984) by Bria S — 19 Nov 2007

Local videoshop got this on dvd. Have not seen it since I was little so I could not remember much. Anyway, was very surprised as too how good this still was till this day. The movie holds up even though it's more than 20 years after it's release.

Okay, so the special effects in 1 or 2 places looked dodge, but mostly the effects were all practical fire effects, which was done by the Star Wars sfx team...by the way. Ultimately this movie is more than the action and suspense, it's got a good story and the finale is brilliant.
