Review of Fireproof (2008) by Amanda W — 17 Feb 2014
While this film did not contain groundbreaking cinematography, or cater to our preconceived notions on love, this film did a tremendous job in explaining the gospel, especially with regards to marriage.
This was a piece of rhetoric and it was designed to address a very specific topic and make a very specific point, not to entertain. In the end, it doesn't matter how well the acting was or how well the dialog was written, this film accomplished what is was supposed to, whether or not we agree with the message.
