Review of Firehouse Dog (2007) by Kevin R — 15 Feb 2015

I recorded this because my 7-year-old daughter is an animal lover, not thinking any of us would actually watch it... but then we got interested, and in the end we really enjoyed it! It's formulaic, yes.

Predictable, pretty much. But the dog trick special effects are funny, the characters are interesting, and the story is heroic and redemptive. The villains aren't played as inept chumps, but they get caught in the end.

If you just want a lighthearted, older-kid-friendly drama with some comedy mixed in, it might fit the bill.
