Fire Island is a queer movie seeped in representation and a sprawling gay culture. It's wokeness that isn't heavy-handed, with witty and humourous dialogues. The relationship between the characters is very endearing and portrayed beautifully by the cast.
The themes approached by Fire Island aren't new, but they're done tastefully with a good twist. Fire Island isn't perfect, but it's sure to become a queer classic.
