Review of Fire in the Sky (1993) by Aidan H — 12 Sep 2011
Despite its cast of well-known faces and decent enough special effects, there's something of the TV movie about director Lieberman's dodgy UFO story. The pre-abduction build-up looked promising with a sub-Speilbergian alien encounter in the woods but the film loses pace and, without some gooey cocoon action aboard the alien spacecraft in the second half, barely makes it to its unsatisfying conclusion.
I wouldn't recommend it to either UFOlogists or fans of the whodunnit so be warned - this is no Close Encounters. Stars for some of the FX.
