Review of Fire in the Sky (1993) by Jason M — 02 Nov 2006
"Fire in the Sky" is worth checking out for it's interesting story, based on a true one, about an alien abduction case. But, the movie is really unspectacular and uneventful until the flashbacks occur, where the victim recalls, little by little, what actually happened on the mother ship.
"Fire in the Sky" feels more made-for-TV than a big-screen event, but the scope of this story fits nicely on a home television set. If I had seen this in a theater, I'd have been mildly dissappointed, I think.
On my home theater get-up, it was an entertaining distraction that tries to make you believe the strange story in a roundabout way. If you find yourself getting impatient with this film as you watch it, just skip ahead in the chapters to when D.
B. Sweeney has his harrowing flashbacks on board that ship. Otherwise, rent something else with aliens abductions hahah.
