Review of Fire Down Below (1997) by Karl R — 30 Apr 2008
Being a great fan of Under Siege and Nico I expected a lot from Fire Down Below.... and it didn't fail to deliver!!! A terrible cast, poor script and god aweful acting to boot. I can see Kris Kristofferson waking up in a cold sweat over doing this film I found myself at certain points scratching my head at certain scenes in the film until I realised that it was just opportunities for whispering Seagal to show off his martial arts prowess.
In one scene, Seagal is taking water samples from a stream when he realises on the hill above him a child is urinating into the supply. "Hey you!" whispers Seagal and chases the boy. Why? Who knows but for some reason he ends up surrounded by a bunch of weed growers who of course he beats the living shit out of and walks off.
.. What this had to do with the story is anyones guess!
