A very short and predictable film. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it. I thought the film had too much build up and not enough pay off. The whole film is obvious to what will happen but you still like seeing it.
Characters were good and I liked the banter between Cage and Jones. Jones' subplot was a good one. With an impressive, albeit short, finale and one that will make audiences smile. If you're in need of some solid if forgettable and predictable entertainment, Fire Birds has you covered.
It's a pleasant film, it's not going to win any Oscars or anything.
