Review of Finding Vivian Maier (2014) by Luis A — 26 Apr 2014
A superb documentary on Vivian Maier, the nanny that left such an impressive archive of photography. An exploration of madness, creativity, hoarding, and the mysteries of the self. In a world of public revelations and emotional publicity, it is intriguing to see how Miss Maier had a compulsion to record life and newspapers, but was never able to display to the public her own work and opinion on violence and men.
Highly recommended.
