Vivian is a fascinating character. The film sets itself apart from other documentaries by being innovative in its approach to the 'talking heads' format, and letting the audience make up its own mind about a seemingly unknowable character (as opposed to Life Itself).
The interviews are very funny and well put together.
The photos themselves are stunning, and the story of how they came to the public consciousness is fascinating. It is a great retrospective film.
