Let me preface this by saying that I expected the film to be quite boring, and now I find myself utterly mistaken. The film was quite the masterpiece.

The characters portrayed their parts while balancing on some narrow tight ropes. Depp for example could have easily slipped into being an eerie pedophile. He also could have overplayed his relationship with Winslet. But the mix was just right. Highmore might just have been another overly precocious child, yet he showed the emotion of what it is to lose a father at a young age.

The cinematography permeated no flaws. The segues were masterfully done. The imagery ensconced what it is exactly to be able to peak into Barrie's mind. Yet that's all it really was, 'twas just a peak as the director left us wanting for more and inspired us to utilize our own imagination.

The movie is a must see if you care for beautifully woven images with multiple layers of depth in it.
