Review of Finding Neverland (2004) by Roxana-Alice C — 02 Aug 2011
This is a movie about where J.M. Barrie got the inspiration to write "Peter Pan." It is not historically accurate as far as I have gathered. However, it brings more magic to the classical play, and my bring up a few themes or ideas that you previously might never thought about.
Outside simply the references to "Peter Pan," it brings in touching family oriented topics. Several plot points could have easily turned this into a very sad movie, but it is done in a way that keeps you hopeful or just feeling positive.
I realize I am making mostly generic statements, and I might return to this review to elaborate some more in the future, but as for now I strongly recommend it to people who were fond of "Peter Pan" or people looking for a very well-done family drama.
