Review of Finding Forrester (2000) by Jimmy C — 10 Jul 2008
Relies WAY too much on Sean Connery's charm. Our lead character pales in comparison to Connery's Forrester.
I give the movie an A for effort and heart, but I can't extol the script or the story structure. The film meanders for the first half; the better second half is marred by a climax that relies heavily on manipulative, uninspired film techniques.
In the end, it gets an extra half-a-star for Connery. Gotta love him.
