Review of Finding Forrester (2000) by Randolph G — 25 Aug 2008

Van Sant gives an interesting edginess to the genre of "uplifting, feel-good" movies. Perfect opening, great story and wonderful cast and direction (even Busta was used to his fullest). Good choice of Connery as a well-known author- his mug is recognizable anywhere, giving his character a more realistic feel. Could do without the cheesy music and such, and the focus is very strict, but otherwise a very good solid film.
