Review of Finding Forrester (2000) by Benny C — 26 Jan 2009
I don't know what it is about this movie that I find so great. It's one of those films that I constantly watch again and again. Connery should have gotten an Oscar nod for his performance, it's quite possibly his best.
And Rob Brown really holds his own in his screen debut. The story isn't the most original, as many people can compare it to Van Sant's "Good Will Hunting", but I find this to be a better piece of work and simply a very special film.
And there are subtle nuances in the film that really add to just how well-crafted this film is, even if they're not noticed on a first screening.
