Review of Finding Dory (2016) by Andy V — 20 Nov 2016
Not as interesting as Finding Nemo, this one's about a Blue Tang with short-term memory problems. While it's message of "it's not what we can't do but what we can do", is endearing and motivational, the writing lacks the cleverness and restraint of the Finding Nemo and seems to aspire to keep the attention of an audience weaned on slam-bam action sequences.
However, it's a cut above similar fare such as "The Secret Life of Pets", and Ellen DeGgeneres and Albert Brooks turn in some excellent voice acting. A worthwhile way to spend 90 minutes, nonetheless!
