Review of Finding Dory (2016) by Robbob99 — 20 Jun 2016
Pixar managed to do what Universal Pictures failed to do last year, take a supporting character and successfully transition them into the leading role. The best way to describe Finding Dory is cute. It has good laughs throughout and a slew of great new characters, especially Hank the Octopus who is one of the best Pixar characters in recent memory.
I did find that it does tend to follow the Pixar formula a little too closely and doesn't try anything really new. Is this better than Finding Nemo? Of course it's not, but does it need to be? No it doesn't.
While it isn't great Pixar, it is good Pixar.
