Review of Finding Dory (2016) by Andrewg1999 — 19 Jun 2016
Finding Dory was a fun experience for me. The main idea for the motto "Just keep swimming" is becoming more comprehensible as it tells us that it represents hope, perseverance, and determination.
As quoted from the Bible Roman 5:3-4, “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” It is a great comparison to a quote we'll never forget.
Finding Dory was a magical, enjoyable, and entertaining movie, but it lacked some key elements that it's predecessor possessed. It wasn't as charming or emotional as I thought it was going to be. I thought that Dory's oblivious behavior kind of took away the emotional point of the movie.
But it was nice to see Marlin and Nemo reunite as a family and not trying to look for each other. What I did like the most about Finding Dory was that it was not just about Dory finding her parents; no it was about Dory finding who she was and if she had a purpose in life.
Finding Dory deserves a 6/10 rating from me.
