Review of Finding Dory (2016) by Paws17 — 01 Aug 2016
Very disappointing sequel which deserves hardly any of the effusive praise it's getting from the usual suspects in the paid press. Over-long, boringly repetitive in places, mawkish and topped off with a completely OTT finale involving an octopus driving a lorry - yes, you heard that correctly - which completely undermines the "reality" that the technical team have striven to achieve in terms of the visual presentation of the undersea world.
By the way, when I go to see a cartoon, I expect my eyes to be assaulted by ultra-bright visuals, not dulled into somnolence by a murky, moss-green, kelp-strewn soup in which it becomes quite hard to make out what's going on in some scenes.
Save your money and buy the DVD for a present for someone less discerning than yourself and wait for them to lend it to you to watch.
