Review of Finding Dory (2016) by Carl G — 29 Nov 2016
Although this is one of the weaker additions to the Pixar Pantheon you will still find yourself entertained. The incredible CGI carries you through a touching story of hope with new characters coming in along the way to keep your interest.
The problem with the movie comes with its failure to land a number of its jokes and gags. There are also elements of the film that might be considered insensitive due to the rampant portrayal of seemingly mentally ill animals being used as weak foils for humour.
Despite these shortcomings the film is enjoyable in its own right, despite having been eclipsed by better animated features this year.
