Review of Finding Dory (2016) by Kayleah T — 07 Dec 2016
After Dory was separated from her mother and father as a child, she grew up alone until she found Marlin and Nemo. Dory lived with Marlin and Nemo, not remembering much of anything from her past. One day Dory remembers she has a family and is desperate to reunite with them.
"Finding Dory" tells of the adventure Dory goes on in search of her family. Dory's parents were extremely loving and nurturing toward her and worked very hard to help her not be ashamed of having short-term memory loss.
When Dory finally finds her parents outside of the Marine Life Institute and discovers that they had never given up on her finding her way back home to them, she is overcome with happiness. While Dory has now found her mother and father, she also still acknowledges Nemo and Marlin as family and loves them for the relationship they have formed through helping and caring for one another.
