Review of Find Your Way: A Busker's Documentary (2014) by Rick W — 11 Sep 2014
I watched Find Your Way last night at the Uptown Cinema in Queen Anne, Seattle. This beautifully shot film did a fantastic job of telling these musicians stories, weaving back and forth between celebrities who've been in the business for decades and fresh faces following their hearts into the business of busking.
The film did well at threading each story throughout the whole film without pulling me out of the narrative, giving careful attention to each enthralling character's journey. The editing for this documentary was especially well done with elements of animation and precise captioning that sometimes worked like comic relief instead of just text on screen.
It was refreshing to watch a documentary without an obvious bias, just story. Well worth the watch.
