While definitely not the best work of Sidney Lumet, his influence over the film is felt throughout and adds credibility to an otherwise easy miss by moviewatchers. Add Vin's almost-over-the-top pacino "and just for all" role and you've got a definite fun movie.

Is it meant to be taken seriously? Nah, but it happened and damned if it wasn't a fun watch.
