Review of Final Fantasy VII: Last Order (2005) by James M — 09 Feb 2008
Beautifully animated, but really only something that will hit home to fans of FF7, and unfortunately even then, it doesn't offer anything new to the tale, aside from a few more intimate scenes than the video game could offer.
This is essentially how some of the events from the game would be depicted if the game had the scope, space and time to embellish its drama. That said, this cartoon isn't intended to be any more than an attempt to reinforce the events in the game which will bridge the stories of the FF7 Compilation.
So given its remit, I'd say it does its job pretty well.
