Review of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (2005) by Thomas J — 15 Apr 2010
What were you expecting? Plot? Character development? Internal conflict? This is Final Fantasy, bring on the action! Leave trivial things like story line to movies like Casablanca. Now, I've never played this game, and I'm not a huge fan of the series, so if I go into a movie like this, I'm not expecting to see heartfelt characters that I can connect with, speak interesting dialouge and overcome chalenges while learning a valuble lesson in the progress that will satisfy my mind and soul.
I want to see shit get destroyed. I want to see random people have awsome CG sword fights with action that blows your mind. The movie delivers exactly what you'd expect it to, and on that level, it succeeds.
